in my opinion, using digital technology, which can produce far lots of photographic effects than using using just analog technology.
just take digital camera Canon as an example , there are many photo setting and camera setting for u to select, like language setting, live view shooting, full frame sensor, APS- C frame sensor etc, ( http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/eos1dsm3/swf/flash.html, Canon EOS 1DS MARK III, EOS Digital, 2010, oct 5) by which we can't find those equipment in analog camera.
of course, analog camera can modulate the light, but the film used by analog camera are just classified as black and white films and coloured films, more importantly, once photo is taked whether it is beautiful or not , it depends on the instant shooting, quality of the films and the camera itself, no editing after taking photos.
also the other important point for the digital camera is that it need not to use film, memory stick and electricity charger are already enough. which means, the photostorage is not confined by a roll of film , but they can store far more photos, in canon's website, Canon EOS 1DS MARK'S memory stick have more than 4GB (http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/eos1dsm3/html/01.html, Canon EOS 1DS MARK III, EOS Digital, 2010, oct 5). From above, which also means that the use of the digital camera is far more convinenient than the celled used, film inserted analog camera.
also, the sophisticated digital camera implies that the support of digital camera can be much more better. in Canon Hong Kong Co. Ltd, there are many driver, manual, software and support for the products, like specification, FAQ, firmware. (http://www.canon.com.hk/en/corporate/about/driver_download.aspx, Canon Hong Kong Co., Ltd, 2010/10/6 ) on the orther hand, nowadays , there are many softwares for editing photo, especial for those digital photos, like ACDSEES, PHOTOSHOP. in those software, people can change the lightening, texture or even add different effects upon the photos. infortunately, the films of the traditional analog camera cannot be altered by those sophisticated software~ what a pity!

回覆刪除I think using the digital technology can making some photographic effects are very great. Just like your photo that you changed the colour of the flowers, that help us to change what colour we want and we can try which colour is better.
