they are the first photoshop works in my life~

oh my god ~i juz can't be friend with photoshop she hates me :'(

i hv spend a long long time and ask my subject assistance to help me~

they are quite good~au huh?! <3

in my opinion, using digital technology, which can produce far lots of photographic effects than using using just analog technology.

just take digital camera Canon as an example , there are many photo setting and camera setting for u to select, like language setting, live view shooting,  full frame sensor, APS- C frame sensor etc, ( http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/eos1dsm3/swf/flash.html, Canon EOS 1DS MARK III, EOS Digital, 2010, oct 5) by which we can't find those equipment in analog camera.

of course, analog camera can modulate the light, but the film used by analog camera  are just classified as black and white films and coloured films, more importantly, once photo is taked whether it is beautiful or not , it depends on the instant shooting, quality of the films and the camera itself, no editing after taking photos.

also the other important point for the digital camera is that it need not to use film, memory stick  and electricity charger are already enough. which means, the photostorage is not confined by a roll of  film , but they can store far more photos, in canon's website, Canon EOS 1DS MARK'S memory stick have more than 4GB (http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/eos1dsm3/html/01.html, Canon EOS 1DS MARK III, EOS Digital, 2010, oct 5).  From above, which also means that the use of the digital camera is far more convinenient than the celled used, film inserted analog camera.

also, the sophisticated digital camera implies that the support of digital camera can be much more better. in Canon Hong Kong Co. Ltd, there are many driver, manual, software and support for the products, like  specification, FAQ, firmware. (http://www.canon.com.hk/en/corporate/about/driver_download.aspx, Canon Hong Kong Co., Ltd, 2010/10/6 ) on the orther hand, nowadays , there are many softwares for editing photo, especial for those digital photos, like ACDSEES, PHOTOSHOP. in those software, people can change the lightening, texture or even add different effects upon the photos. infortunately, the films of the traditional analog camera cannot be altered by those sophisticated software~ what a pity!

the best two argument to support using the wikipedia

in my opinion, the best two argument to use wikipedia rather than traditional encyclopedia are that,using wikipedia is much more convenient and the information provided in there is sometimes much more updated than the traditional encyclopedia.

first of all, the accessibilty of wikipedia is very high. nowadays, in Hong Kong, most, nearly all family have at least one computer in their home, and many of them have been already enjoying the internet services because of the bloomong development of internet company like PCCW. Thus, it is not a difficult thing for a ordinary family to search wikipedia online.

Moreover, the price of an encyclopedia is quite expensive, for example, in the official website of Commercial Press (http://www.cp1897.com.hk/simple_search_result.php?simple_words=encyclopedia&first_search=true), we can found that the price of an encyclopedia is over two hundred dollars. thus, because  searching the net is much cheaper than buying an encyclopedia, must people will choose to use wikipedia to find information.

on the other hand, the information is much more updatedand rich in wikipedia, for example, the authors of The Encyclopedia of the Chinese Overseas only fifty people (http://www.cp1897.com.hk/product_info.php?BookId=9620415892), but in wikipedia, there are any people with different knowlege can access into wikipedia and provide or correct any information, thus the information can be much more rich and well explained.

my opinions on the video's questions

1. What are the benefits of the new technologies (industrial machinery, feeding machine, closed circuit cameras) shown in the film? Who gains from these technologies?

when we talks about the  benefits of the new technologies, the most important point must be accentuating the emotion changes on the character's facial expression and body movement.

i think, not just the audiences, but also the filmmakers can beneifit from those technologies, because when most new technology is available, which provide much more flexibilty and possibility to make a better films and widen the genre of films, such nowadays, there are not only black white filme, but also fiction and documentary films.

2. What is the effect of these technologies on the main character’s life/mood/body?

in my opinion, those technologies helps to reflect and accentuate the minute changes on the characters' facial expression and body movement because the new technologies, for example, the closed circuit cameras, which  can zoom the camera much more close to the character and explore those changes happening on the characters' face and body in which we may not easily notice if we use some outdated or not so sophisticated technology.

3. What effects does using computers and the internet have on your life/mood/body?
there are uncountable effects on our life if we use computers and the internet, because internet provide a very convinient platform to get the most updated information and make friend around the world, our life tend to stick with the computer, and most astronishing news published in the internet will give us lots of excitment and freshing. since we become  more and more reply on the internet, we may lack outdoor activities, which make our body unhealthy.
